Lelyana Santosa is Senior Partner and Head of Dispute Resolution practice of Lubis Santosa & Maramis. She graduated from Faculty of Law Padjadjaran University (Sarjana Hukum) in 1980 and attended fall course on real estate transactions at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, Canada.Lelyana Santosa is intensively involved in many dispute resolution works of the firm. She has been intensively involved and led the team member of Lubis Santosa & Maramis in civil and commercial litigations for large national and multinational clients of the firm from diverse industries.
Lelyana Santosa was the attorney involved, whether as the leader or member of the Lubis Santosa & Maramis’s attorneys, assigned in defending the interest of clients, such as Time Inc, PT INCO, Bank Multicor, PT Apac Inti Corpora, Total E&P Indonesia, Citibank, N.A, Halliburton, Diebold Inc, PT Diebold Indonesia, P & G, PT Asuransi Hanjin Korindo, PT Asuransi Samsung Tugu and PT Staco Graha, Matahari Group, PT Global Putra International, PT Nestle, PT Grahawita Santika and PT Tirta Investmana, in their civil and commercial disputes or arbitration.
She was also intensively engaged in the high profile cases of the firm involving media law issues, such as in representing Time Inc, Asian Wall Street Journal, Matra Magazine and Tempo Magazine. She became a member of a team representing the Indonesian Television Journalists Association (Ikatan Jurnalis Televisi Indonesia), Indonesian National Commercial Radio Broadcasters Union(Persatuan Radio Siaran Swasta Nasional Indonesia), Persatuan Perusahaan Periklanan Indonesia, Indonesian Association for Television Broadcasting (Asosiasi Televisi Siaran Indonesia), Indonesian Dubbing Association (Persatuan Sulih Suara Indonesia), Indonesian Television Community (Komunitas Televisi Indonesia) in a Judicial Review against the Broadcasting Law at the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia.
In industrial relation litigations, Lelyana Santosa has represented and led the team member of the firm assigned to assist clients such as The Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (BPPN) on the closure of a number of national banks in 1998, Arco/BP West Java Ltd. and PT Pertamina (Persero) on the claim filed by ex-employee of Arco, Exxon Mobil Inc and others. She also represented clients, whether overseas or local clients, involved in administrative law litigations as well as criminal issues in their business operation in Indonesia. Additionally, she advises clients on general dispute resolution matters.
Lelyana Santosa is a member of Indonesian Bar Association (IKADIN), member of Supervisory Board of the National Movement for Foster Parents Foundation (GNOTA), Arbiter of Indonesian Commodity Future Trading Arbitration (BAKTI) and Association of Capital Market Legal Consultants (Himpunan Konsultan Hukum Pasar Modal/HKHPM). She speaks Bahasa Indonesia and English.
