Samuel Bonar C. Sianipar

S

amuel Bonar C. Sianipar is an Associate at Dispute Resolution Practice Group of Lubis, Santosa & Maramis Law Firm. He graduated from Faculty of Law University of Indonesia (SH) in 2010 and earned his Master degree (MH) from University of Indonesia in 2014. While in law school, he was an avid participant in the National Moot Court Competition. He also played an active role in a variety of other student activities, such as organizing legal discussions, student competitions, and spiritual pursuits.
 
Prior to join Lubis, Santosa & Maramis, he worked for another prominent litigation firm in Jakarta and been heavily involved in numerous litigation cases and corporate-commercial cases. He specializes in civil and commercial litigation, criminal, administrative, arbitration and industrial relations disputes.
 
He has passed the Indonesian Bar Exam organized by Indonesian Bar Association (Perhimpunan Advokat Indonesia or PERADI).

  • PT Ethica Industri Farmasi, subsidiary of Fresenius Kabi Global (German Pharmaceutical Company), in construction arbitration dispute brought by its contractorbefore arbitration proceedings (Badan Arbitrase Nasional Indonesia/BANI);
  • PT ODG Indonesia in construction arbitration dispute against its Project Owner before arbitration proceedings (BANI);
  • PT Tokopedia in annulment of Tangerang Consumer Protection Agency Arbitration Award before the Tangerang District Court;
  • Salim Group in the defense of proceedings before Central Jakarta District Court, South Jakarta District Court and Gunung Sugih District Court over the sales of Sugar Group Companies and cancellation of the companies US$ 75 million Loan Agreements;
  • Eli Lilly S.A., Global Pharmaceutical Company, in civil claim brought by its former distributor before the South Jakarta District Court and also assisting the Client with the same matter in Singapore High Court;
  • PT Berau Coal Energy in civil claim against its former shareholder before the South Jakarta District Court;
  • PT Indonesian Nippon Steel Pipe, the subsidiary of Nippon Steel Corporation, in environmental crime allegation before the West Java Regional Police;
  • PT Wonokoyo Jaya Corporindo in judicial proceedings against the allegation of cartel;
  • PT Jakarta Tank Terminal, the subsidiary of Royal Vopak (World-wide Tank Storage Company), in a criminal allegation before the Indonesian Police Criminal Investigation Body;
  • Contiki Tours, International Travel Corporation, in criminal allegation regarding negligence that caused death before the Praya (Lombok) Precinct Police;
  • Benchmark Group Pte. Ltd. in a potential shareholders dispute regarding the transfer-pricing issue in its subsidiary company in Indonesia;
  • PT Kayung Agro Lestari, subsidiary of PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya, Tbk., in a land-fires criminal allegation before the West Kalimantan Regional Police;
  • PT Bintang Energy Pratama, in a mining-land dispute against a company before the Tenggarong District Court;
  • GlaxoSmithKline Indonesia, the subsidiary of GlaxoSmithKline (British Pharmaceutical Company), in a criminal investigation before the Bekasi Precinct Police;
  • PT Bank China Construction Bank Indonesia, Tbk., the subsidiary of China Construction Bank, in a criminal investigation investigated by Indonesian Police Criminal Investigation Body and Bali Regional Police;
  • Equanimity (Cayman) Ltd., in a pre-trial petition against the seizure by Indonesia state police.
